I have noticed that graphical ads are making a comeback especially those 125 pixel square ads you see on a lot of internet marketing sites. This may be due in part to the move away from text ads since Googles crackdown.
One type of advertising I have noticed are those peel away ads. They are flash ads that create a turned over corner effect on your page. When you move the mouse over it reveals a larger ad.
Any advertising that is new to people will grabs there attention. Users of these ads claim to have increased their click through which is not surprising as many internet surfers are banner blind and learn to avoid ads unless they are really compelling.
To use peel ads on your site you first need the flash code which you can get from here. You then need to create 2 images either gif or jpeg which will be your creative. You can then put this altogether with some Javascript that is provided with the Flash software.
