Money4Banners to monetize your low traffic sites

November 13, 2007

If you haven't already heard of Money4Banners (you may have known it as Bucks4Banners) it's an advertising network that pays you to put banners on your site. Whilst this is not that spectacular in itself there are a few differences compared to a conventional banner network.

Money4Banners for low traffic sites

I found out about the site from reading the forums, after taking a look at the site my first impression was that it was a bit amateurish. The offer they are making is that you put 3 banners on your site and you get 10 UK pounds, then 5 UK pounds per month for each month you keep the banners up.

You are provided with HTML and PHP versions of the banners, I would stick to the HTML version as this is safer. They also offer both landscape and portrait version of the banner but at the time of writing only the 468 by 60 banner was working. I have reported this to them.

You have to select 3 separate pages on your site where you will display the banners, that's right you only need to display the banner on 3 pages rather than displaying the banners sitewide.

How to use Money4Banners

To test the network I have signed up and placed the banners on one of my low traffic sites. Several days later I received 10 UK pounds (20 US dollars) via PayPal. I would advise that if you want to test them out use one of your less important sites.

You may also notice that I have an affiliate link to promote this service. You get 10 UK pounds if someone you recommend has a site approved. I am also taking this opportunity to test out my PHP link tracking code.
