Patrick over at BlogStorm has posted about how linking to Digital Point caused the page being de-indexed by Google. After removing the offending link the page was promptly crawled and re-indexed.
I would imagine Google would not punish a page for linking to another site but may devalue the link pointing to that page. There is no way Big G is going to tell us what it is up to. A while back went all out on paid links which is understandable but Google deciding which sites we can and can't link to, surely not.
