
Patrick over at BlogStorm has posted about how linking to Digital Point caused the page being de-indexed by Google. After removing the offending link the page was promptly crawled and re-indexed.
Something I have noticed as a trend for 2008 is that many bloggers are now focussing more on affiliate work rather than trying to monetize a blog. Of course these are just my observations and not a well researched trend. Why is this happening?
We've all been there, you have stuff you should be doing but rather than getting on with it you find yourself eagerly trying to find something else to distract you. Don't worry I think most of us are like that but you really need to do the work to pay the bills.
If I am honest then the internet or more directly webmasters wanting to make money on the internet have some pretty shady practices. A lot of these practices may not have started out to intentionally be black hat but Google has decided to lay down the law.
